Welcome to our video showing Evans Calftone '56 tom heads on three of the most popular shell types - Maple, Birch and Walnut.

All three kits used feature exactly the same size toms so the only thing changing is the shell. For the maple kit we have used a Ludwig Classic Maple, the birch is a Yamaha Recording Custom and the walnut is a Noble & Cooley Walnut Classic.

Like with all our audio demos there is no limiting to enhance the dynamic response, no digital reverbs are used, the ambience is naturally captured with room mics. We recommend listening through headphones or speakers for the best detail.
