Thank you Rohan for the awesome cake sketch submission! Here is the final cake from the 5 cakes voted in by you guys (better late than never!). I have used a mixed medium of both fondant and buttercream decorations for this cake design. I actually make the fondant decorations ahead of time so they had ample time to dry (the only fondant decoration that I made on the day of decorating was the wooden panel traveling across the cake). I recommend getting the kiddies involved! Fondant butterflies, mushrooms, bees and blossoms are so easy to make, even for kids.
Since all the cake sketches have officially been re-created into tutorials, it is time to open up the challenge again! To participate in this fun little challenge, all you need to do is draw a 2 or 3 tier cake (in colour if possible) and then send it to me via e-mail at rosiesdessertspot@gmail.com. I will create a shortlist of all the entries, and then the top 5 will be voted in by you guys! I can't wait to see what you come up with :D I will be taking submissions from now until the 16th of November.
