Interestingly Stephen Hawking's Video "Formation of the Solar System lines up exactly with Moses description of earth's creation at Genesis 1:2, 3 and 14-16.
Moses description indicates that the sun's light was somewhat visible on earth on day 1 (possibly diffused light only due to all the dust), but by day 4, not only the sun was visible from earth, but the already existing moon, and stars became visible, now that all the dust had been blown away as Hawking's video indicates.
Obviously, taking into account that the Hebrew word (yom) for day (depending on the context) could be understood to mean, 1 literal day, a year, a generation, or an unspecified amount of time, perhaps thousands, or millions, of years ). The scientific discoveries by the Hubble and Spitzer telescopes in 2004 suggest that there were thousands to [possible millions of years between day 1 and day 4 of the Genesis account.
Amazingly, on day 1, even though the moon was still developing, and the stars already existed, they would not have been visible from earth till much later when all the dust was gone. With these discoveries, day 4 of Genesis makes perfect sense, where as before these discoveries it did not!

Genesis revealed who created the Universe, and provided a brief scientific description of that creative process, but Hubble is now giving humankind the details as to how it was created by means of an incredible invisible force that science calls gravity, and people of faith call God's active force!
