What does bulk, absorb, and float mean for batteries on the Victron monitor?
When you are on shore power or generator power, your inverter automatically switches into a high power lithium battery charger.
Bulk, Absorb, Float is the state of charging the batteries are in.
First,Bulk is sending full power to batteries (up to limits set on ac input limit or charger limits)
Second, absorption means batteries are almost full, usually around 95-99
Third, Float means the batteries are full and the charger is just trickle charging the battery as necessary. Float mode will also re- sync the batteries to 100%.
