Do you know where one of the largest collections of dinosaur fossils and bones are? Dinosaur National Monument features one of the worlds biggest dinosaur fossil areas. The prehistoric bones are from the Jurassic period 150 million years ago. Take a tour of Quarry Exhibit Hall and Visitor Center and see the remains of so many dinosaurs who died during a drought at the river's edge. They are all located in Utah, right outside the towns of Vernal and Jensen in Dinosaur National Monument. You'll find the excavated fossils of all types of dinosaurs such as allosaurus, diplodocus, and stegosaurus. The Quarry Exhibit Hall is an incredible classroom for budding paleontologists or archeologists. If you've seen the Jurassic Park or Jurassic World Domination movies and crave more REAL life fossils that you can touch and see up close, this dinosaur park is a must visit. On our day, we also visit the petroglyphs of the Fremont people.
