Law minister Azam Nazir Tarar addresses a gathering of lawyers bodies in Islamabad soon after govt’s failure to gather 2/3rd votes in parliament to pass a proposed draft of a constitutional amendment. The law minister explains about the proposed legislation before a gathering of office bearers of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) and others from across the country. The lawyers too raised questions over haste being shown by the government in passing these amendments ahead of retirement of incumbent chief justice Qazi Faez Isa on 25 Oct 24.
