WHY I Meditate 1 Hour Per Day (And Why You Should Too)
Meditation is one of the most transformational habits you can implement into your life starting right now! Each time we become mindful and conscious of our experience, we may call this "meditation." However, what happens when this deliberate and conscious act of mindfulness is expressed via a formal practice? And moreover, what happens when this formal practice is taken to the length and consistency of 1 hour every single day? WELL... I'll go on ahead and tease it for you as the view: something very special happens to your experience of self and life.
In this video I address why I take this practice to such lengths. Specifically, I will be addressing why I got all the way up to 60 minutes per day (not less), why I stop at the 60 minute mark (not more), and why I commit myself to the consistency of a rigid meditation routine instead of meditating for as little or as much as I want day to day. Believe it or not, there is purpose and rationality behind why I stick to a habitual, rhythmic practice.
This all being said, at the end of the day you're going to have to construct your own meditation routine and find what works for you. While I HIGHLY encourage my fellow meditators to reach this 1 hour milestone, I understand that not everyone may be up for such a commitment, especially if you've just started your meditation practice. In this instance, view this video as inspiration to keep pushing the boundary of your practice until you reach this hour mark.
