1. So what is rain?? Rain is the water that falls when the clouds up there get too heavy and gravity pulls it down then we get lots of puddles to splash in!
2. Rain has more than one name, depending on the temperature of the air and it’s surface rain can also be snow, sleet, ice and Hail.
3. The highest amount of rainfall in one year recorded was 467.4 inches in Mawsynram, India.
4. We also use rain to create electricity! We call this hydroelectricity or hydropower
5. Raindrops fall at a speed of 5 to 18miles per hour depending on the size of the raindrops!
