SaM146 engines for Sukhoï Superjet 100 aircraft are made in Yakutsk in the heart of Eastern Siberia, the world's coldest city with record-breaking temperatures. These engines are produced by PowerJet, a joint venture company held by Safran Aircraft Engines and NPO Saturn.
