The Lexus LX is based on the 300 Series Toyota LandCruiser. But it's a smarter buy for a bunch of reasons.
The LX range has more engine options, more seating options, and much more luxury. It's a lot more expensive, sure, but if you were thinking of bombing $150K on a LC300, maybe one of the affordable LX 500d or LX 600 petrol V6 models could do the trick instead.
