The first way to get director mode is by pressing options on the controller then going to rockstar editor. Then select director mode. If director mode is grayed out and you can't select it, make sure your out of your mission, car and cutscenes. The 2nd way to get into director mode is to go to the interaction menu and then select director mode. You can do this on the PS4, PS5, Xbox and the PC.
