Harry Styles was hit in the eye by a hard sweet after a fan threw a handful of Skittles at the stage during a concert at The Forum in Los Angeles on Monday evening.
The singer, 28, clutched his eye in a video taken of the moment by a fan after they were launched towards him during a performance of his song, Kiwi.
Harry fans angrily reacted to the moment and claimed the star could have gone blind following the potentially-dangerous incident.
The incident happened after Harry returned to touring after he was forced to take time off to recover from illness during his 167-date tour.
In footage widely shared on social media, pieces of the candy are seen raining down on the pop star before hitting him in the left eye.
Harry then reached to cover his eye to before raising his arm in the air in a signal for the rogue fan to stop throwing things at the stage.
He then turns away from the camera with his left eye closed.
Fans commented on the clip that it had ruined Harry's performance as they slammed the member of the crowd for launching the sweet.
Following the moment, an official response has been issued by Skittles' Twitter account addressing the Skittles attack.
