Ruby was late for her Bordetella Vaccine. I didn't have the $70 - $75 that PetSmart wanted for a office visit. Than another $19.95 for the Vaccine. So I called our local feed store called "The Farm Store [ Ссылка ] and they sold it for only $6.50. It's a very easy nasal Vaccine to mix and administer.
Bordetella is also called Kennel Cough. Some believe that the Nasal Bordetella vaccine is a preventive measure to help ward off this highly contagious bacterial illness that can be spread by dog, cat and humans. There are others who feel that it doesn't help at all. My opinion doesn't really matter since the Kennel demands that our dogs have it before they will board the dogs.
There is a great deal of controversy about vaccines. This isn't about that.
I didn't really have a choice. Bucket was going in for surgery and I had no one available that could / would take our two dogs for a unknown period of time. Our only choice was to board them and the only place we could find in the time we had insisted we have our dogs vaccines up to-date. Period.
However, they did accept me giving her the vaccine at home as long as I had a copy of the receipt with the peeled off sticker from the vaccine bottle stuck to the receipt.
Easy peasy....that's what I did.
Ruby and Mia did not have a good time at that Kennel. They stayed at the Dog House "[ Ссылка ] in Portland Oregon. I wish that we had be able to do more research before we placed our dogs there. My advice to others is regardless if someone else tells you how great of a experience their dog had staying at any kennel go there and check it out for yourself if possible. We have since found a better kennel for our girls that they really enjoyed staying at: [ Ссылка ]
