With the bridge near Zion Lodge being closed, you must utilize the Kayenta Trail to access the 3 Emerald Pools. It is a 2.4 mile (3.9km) out and back hike on the Kayenta Trail. If you are looking for a longer hike of about 5 miles you could utilize the Middle or Lower Emerald Pool Trail to connect to the Sand Bench Trail and then catch a shuttle at the Court of the Patriarchs which is what we ended up deciding to do. If you want an even longer hike, you could catch the shuttle from the Court of the Patriarchs down to the Canyon Junction Shuttle stop then take the Pa'Rus Trail 1.6 miles (2.6km) to the visitor center.
