How to set the drag on a fishing reel is simple if you know how to calculate the correct setting to compliment the strength of your line AND the easy trick to return the fishing reel drag back to that setting. The approach and the trick works on a baitcaster, baitrunner, fly reel as well as a spinning reel. While I show setting the drag on a spinning reel, the approach is the same for any fishing reel.
