Technion-Israel Institute of Technology is the pioneer in nanotechnology research in Israel.
One of the first recruits to the Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute at Technion was Prof. Hossam Haick, a recent recipient of the Humboldt Research Award and one of the world’s leading innovators in the field of nanotechnology. Haick’s research has made tremendous contributions to the diagnosis of diseases through innovative detection of markers present in the breath and skin that he and his team have discovered. His research has led to the development of novel devices to detect cancer, tuberculosis and other diseases.
