Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is located in Montrose, Colorado. About 1 hour south of Grand Junction, Colorado and 1 hour north of Ouray, Colorado. The Gunnison River carvers through these dark rocks, which are often shrouded in shadows, hence the name Black Canyon. This park has 2 rims the north and south rim. We visited the south rim. No shortage of views in this National Park. And this is a least visited one, so it's not as busy as Rocky Mountain NP, or Yellowstone, or and of the other more popular ones. Which was nice!

Day 21 of our road trip we spend the day in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Established as a National Monument in 1933 it got crowned a National Park in 1999. There is a North Rim and a South Rim, we explored the South Rim. Please watch to see what this park has to offer :)
