After I recently upgraded my PC to a Ryzen 5 3600 ( [ Ссылка ]) I ended up with a free slot for an NVMe M.2 SSD, combine this with generally sinking prices for SSD and black friday and you end up with a new Samsung 970 EVO SSD ( [ Ссылка ] - affiliate link)
I mainly wanted a Samsung since the primary SSD with the windows installation is already from Samsung. I think for most users and use cases for example this Crucial 1TB SSD ( [ Ссылка ] - affiliate link) is about as good for 20-30% less money. (A SATA SSD might also be a good option)
Regarding speed difference in SSD i found this video by Linus tech tips quite enlightening: [ Ссылка ] (other videos I saw seem to confirm this especially for gaming )
While checking for which kind of SSD you actually have some left over space in your computer also make sure to check if you still own fitting screws to fix the NVMe SSD (Should be in your Mainboard box, hopefully) if you as myself lost that screw (luckily the local pc store had some screws over) you might better just order a set with your ssd: [ Ссылка ] (also affiliate... daddy needs some coffee! )
