Today we tackle the front brakes on our minty 1955 Chevy Nomad. I bought a simple, direct fit, bolt on system. So of course it needs modification.
The axle disc conversion went on without a hitch. The drop spindles needed a little customization to fit properly. Otherwise the front end was all together in a couple of evenings. The real problem ended up being the brake pedal.
Since this nomad was a "top of the line" model it came with a unique power brake system. The power brake pedal and linkage was NOT going to work with this after market kit. So that's where a lot of time and patience went.
