As a passenger you don’t expect your plane to run out of fuel midflight. It sounds like a horrifying scenario, especially when that plane is out over water just out of reach of an airport. That was the reality for the passengers and crew on board Tuninter Flight 1153. The answer as to why this modern passenger plane ran out of fuel lays in a rather unbelievable set of circumstances.
