Tyron Woodley faced Dong Hyun Kim on August 23, 2014, at UFC Fight Night 48 at the CotaiArena in Macau.

Dong Hyun Kim was expected to face Héctor Lombard at the event. However, Lombard pulled out of the bout and was replaced by Tyron Woodley.

Woodley won the fight via TKO early in the first round. The win also earned Woodley his first Performance of the Night bonus award.
