Magnesia-carbon bricks for ladles are made of high-melting point alkaline sintered magnesia, high-purity magnesia and high-melting point carbonaceous graphite that is difficult to be corroded by slag as the main raw materials. Non-oxide additives and phenolic resin binders are added, stirred, kneaded and processed under high pressure. Composite refractory bricks are made by low-temperature treatment after molding. Magnesia-carbon bricks effectively utilize the corrosion resistance of magnesia and the high thermal conductivity and low expansion of carbonaceous raw materials. Magnesia-carbon bricks can be used in ladles to extend the service life of ladles and increase the number of uses.
