Rothenburg ob der Tauber is one of only three German towns remaining with intact city walls. Come join us on our journey of this amazing town in the middle of Germany.
We spent a few days exploring the city walls, the towers that date back to the 12th century, the wonderful, and incredibly large, Christmas shops (must see), and ate the famous Schneeballen (snowballs) which are a local pastry that come in multiple different flavors.
See the marketplace, the city hall (Rathaus), the Ratstrinkstube (Councillor's Tavern) and all the colorful buildings. There are also many museums, restaurants and hiking trails to explore while you are here. And of course, the picturesque and always-photographed corner at Plönlein.
