On November 19, a Minotaur-1 rocket lifted off from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. On board, as a secondary payload, was PhoneSat 2.4. Built at NASA Ames, this next generation nanosatellite will test the smartphone's communications technology and its ability to maneuver in space, take images and execute software commands.
