ABOUT BERNARD KOUCHNER: Founder of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and Médecins du Monde. Formerly a French government minister in left-wing governments, under Mitterand and Jospin. He accepted the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs under Nicolas Sarkozy, a move that saw him expelled from the Socialist Party. "Hardline humanitarian" and supporter of intervention.
