The DC CW shows, certainly aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. While the greatest episodes tend to be passable at best, they’re still beloved and praised by DC Comics fans world wide. I’m going to explore why these shows are so popular, yet highly criticized.

Despite their flaws, I still love these shows. I’ve been a fan of shows like Flash and Supergirl for years, meanwhile I’ve abandoned Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow.

Can’t say I’ve started Black Lightning or Batwoman yet though. It’s my belief that these shows are more of a love letter to silver age comics, than they are an attempt to adapt the source material in a more serious manner. That’s it. That’s the thesis.
