This is my source audio recreation of the original (1997-2003) version of the clock parade audio for "it's a small world" Holiday at Disneyland. This audio was used from the overlays debut in November 1997 until the end of the 2002-03 season in January 2003. Of course the clock parade is a classic feature present at all versions of it's a small world" (except Walt Disney World) since the original version was moved from New York (1964-65) to Disneyland in 1966. However, although the general format is very similar in all versions, both the California (1966) and Tokyo (1983) versions have seen several changes since opening. At the original, the first portion, with the gears and flowers spinning, has seen hardly any changes whatsoever, with the only noticable change being the restoration of the original audio track in 2003, meaning I think that along with the similar regular 1998-2002 version, this original Holiday version was the last to use the original audio for that first portion. For the second portion, this audio uses a somewhat different fanfare at the beginning and end, while most versions of the Holiday overlay (including the original) have always had a completely different audio track for the Holiday season. Instead of it's a small world being played fully, only one verse of it is played, and in the place of the other verses are several Christmas songs. This classic audio lives to this day in California, but unfortunately the Holiday overlay as a whole is gone from both Tokyo and Paris. Also, the fanfares became a restoration of the originals in 2003. In the last portion, the chimes have always sounded pretty similar, although the pitch for both have been altered several times, most recently in 1990 (hour) and 2003 (minute). I hope you enjoy this audio!
I do not own any of the audio or the image used in this video. All audio rights go to Disney.
