After evading repeated summonses, Maharashtra's former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh arrived at the Enforcement Directorate's office in Mumbai today for questioning in a money laundering case. Mr Deshmukh, who resigned from his office earlier this year amid a squabble over bribery charges levelled against him, was denied relief by the Bombay High Court on Friday when he sought to have the summons cancelled. Mumbai's ex-top cop, Param Bir Singh, accused him of corruption. The former top cop is also missing, and a search warrant has been issued for him. Extortion charges have also been levelled against him, and various cases have been brought against him.
