Fishing for big Piranha / Piraña in the Amazon jungle of Suriname and eating them for dinner.
During our jungle survival expedition and trekking in the Amazon rainforest, in the jungle of Suriname, we ate mainly Piranha also called Red Eye or Black Piranha (Serrasalmus rhombeus) for dinner. Fishing is easy. You can catch them basically with any bait.
Be carefull for your fingers though :)
The average size pf the piranha we caught was 16" to 17" while fishing in the upper Gran Rio ( Suriname / Surinam ). Good meat though but never underestimate the biting power of these predators.
Catching and fishing piranhas at : 2:23 min.
Piranha eating at : 1:32 min
Smoking piranha at: 1:51 min
