The third wave coffee scene in Honduras may be young, but it's thriving. The nation boasts of six different coffee producing regions, all with varying altitudes and micro-climates. Producers continue to experiment with different hybrids and processing methods, reaching for excellence.
With traceable single origin offerings and an eye to sustainable practices, specialty coffee shops are doing a great job showcasing their nation's own product. Baristas, roasters, and café owners proudly share their knowledge and love for Honduran coffees. Considering the quality and flavor complexities, it's no wonder that these coffees are increasingly in demand – both locally, and around the world!
