Transudate is the fluid pushed through the capillary due to high pressure within the capillary. It is caused to differences in pressure between hydrostatic and osmotic pressure but here the vessel is intact (tight).
Exudate is the fluid that leaks around the cells of the capillaries caused by inflammation/infection.
The fluid is Transparent (Clear) in Transudate and in Exudate it is Cloudy because of the increase in cells and proteins
Low specific gravity is seen in Transudate which means it is more watery because of low protein
In Exudate there is increase in specific gravity due to increase in protein and it is heavier
Everything is in EXCESS in EXudate & In transudate it is less
Exudate is usually due to Inflammation and Infection.
