The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a medieval bell tower located in Pisa, Italy. It is famous for its unintended tilt, which began during construction in the 12th century due to a foundation that was too soft on one side. The tower stands at about 56 meters (185 feet) tall and leans at an angle of about 3.99 degrees. Despite its precarious angle, the tower has survived several earthquakes and attempts to straighten it.
