Severe floods swamped roads and homes in Auckland, New Zealand, sparking a state of emergency. Footage shows raging torrents under a bridge connecting Border Road and Palomino Drive. Officials said the Auckland region in New Zealand is being hit by the floods caused by heavy rain, while firefighters say they received more than 1,000 calls. Deputy mayor Desley Simpson said a statement of emergency would be declared in Auckland on January 27.
