Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough has rejected the Pathway To Citizenship immigration provisions in the budget reconciliation bill. Progressives and immigration advocates are calling for Senate Democrats and Vice President Kamala Harris to fire her or overrule her decisions. President Biden and Senate Democrats have mentioned that they have alternative plans they are going to propose, but there are not yet any details about what that might be.
