A quick vid of an oldie from the late 70's, a Swinger 707 1 tube linear amplifier driver. even though it is called Swinger, it does not swing all that much. It is not one of those modulator type amplifiers. Basically takes a 4 watt radio in and has 20 watts out, swings to 40 average and 50 watts peak. It looks similar to the old Firebird 500 amplifier, same type build, colors and meter, so I am assuming it was made by them. It seems to be pretty welll made for a CB amp. Has a full Pi circuit, a pretty good power supply with lots of caps and diodes in the power supply string, heavy duty relay and a 6LQ6/6MH6 tube instead a wimpy 6BQ5. This one is 10-12 meters only. The coils for the other band have been removed by someone (not me) and the bandswitch has nothing connected to it. Amp looks decent but certainly not mint, perfect not collector quality. I would say a 6 on a 1-10 outside and an 8 inside. Working wise, works perfect with no issues.
