In today's video, I am going to show you how to use the Untether package for the #CoolBooter, released a couple days ago by the developer of the so popular app. Up until now, CoolBooter allowed you to install two different #iOS versions at the same time on the same device. Booting into the secondary iOS (traditionally an older version featuring the old iOS 6.x design) was as easy as open the CoolBooter application and pressing the Boot button. You would then press the lock/sleep button and wait a few seconds for the secondary iOS to be bootstrapped.
Apparently, the developer of CoolBooter wanted to make it even simpler. With the new Coolbooter Untetherer package, you can boot directly into the secondary iOS when the phone powers on, without having to first boot iOS 8, 9 or 10 to be able to get to iOS 6 for example. Switching back to the primary iOS version is done by pressing and holding the Volume DOWN button at boot-time until you see the lock screen of the primary.
There are, however, some catches to this new untether package. You need to run an untethered jailbreak on the main iOS for the untetherer to work. A good example is on iOS 8.4.1 that has Etas0n Jailbreak which is untethered. iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 5th Generation and some iPads can downgrade to iOS 8.4.1 just by modifying the System Version. The tutorial for that is available below. Also, CoolBooter would only work on 32-Bit devices. You can use CoolBooter with a semi-untethered #jailbreak like Phoenix and H3lix, but it will not be untethered (you will have to boot manually the secondary).
