Getting the Braviary before you explore the field is a lot easier, but I don't really recommend you to speed run the Main Mission since this game give you a fantastic experience to explore the wild.

But I recommend you to get the rideable Pokemon throughout the Main Mission first (there are 1 new rideable Pokemon every field you exploring), because they will help you to conquered every new field. Like Prairie, Water, Cliffs, and Mountains.
