Very relaxing and fascinating process of carving wooden shirasayas (or storage scabbards) for a daisho -- the pair of Japanese swords customarily worn by Samurai. The larger blade is a katana, while the smaller is a wakizashi -- both forged by American swordsmith Walter Sorrells. The process shown is not strictly traditional and includes a mixture of traditional hardworking processes using chisels, planes and other hand tools along with modern power tools. Nice ASMR.
