In this episode, I will tell you how fried insects are eaten, how they are fried, and how disgusting it is. You will see how small frogs, grasshoppers and crickets are fried. Then in the center of the most crowded Yaowarat street, we will test them.
In order to get more insects, we visited one of the fairs in Bangkok. Fairs in Thailand are spontaneous markets that arise due to some events or according to a schedule unknown to me, which work during the week, and then they close and the sellers leave for their usual market places.
Usually, visiting such fairs is more massive than local markets.
At this fair, insects are roasted in advance, before being sold. They do this because there is a large flow of people and there will be no time for sellers to fry for each portion as in small markets.
Buy insects on farms, and bring in a frozen state. These white boxes are just unpacked silkworm larvae. I want to say that it takes about 3 hours to overcook such a number of insects. I just watched this whole process and I want to show you part of it.
I don't leave the location. This is a temporary fair and if you come to it on another day, you will be able to watch a regular stadium.
