Who doesn’t love a small charcuterie bowl?!?! Well I just LOVE mine and so I wanted to make more to bring with me to my next pop up sale at a Quirk Gallery and Hotel in Richmond, Virginia this August!!!
I find the easiest way to throw small pieces is “off the hump” where you take a hunk of clay and work with the top portion, then cut your piece off and make another one, repeating until you use the whole hunk of clay!
Dry tapping is the best way to ensure so much clay will stay centered, but man! This hunk threw me for a loop and the struggle was real for a bit!!!
By the end, I got in a groove and ended up making 30 little bowls and dishes from the one hunk of clay!!!
Let me know what you think and what you want to see more of!!!
