Taxi bosses have arrived at the ICC in East London in the Eastern Cape to sign a Peace Accord, in an effort to end violence in the industry.
Dozens of people have lost their lives due to violence in this industry.
Earlier this year the town of Port St Johns came to a standstill and several people lost their lives due to the violence.
The provincial transport department says more than 25 lives were lost in taxi violence, during the 2021/2022 financial year.
