One of China's largest and most famous consumer electronics companies, and one that isn't banned around the world, Xiaomi has a following in China like few others so when the SU7 was announced the eyes of a nation were on the company.

But could the company, complete newbies to the car making game with an enormous new self-owned facility and deep pockets, succeed where Apple and Dyson had failed, and where Huawei don't yet dare to tread? On the evidence of this drive, absolutely. The SU7 is already a sales hit, but it's also a stunning, if Porsche-inspired, saloon, packed full of tech and connectivity none can match, and with a drive that's every bit as enjoyable and competent as the likes of the Zeekr 007.
