Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski will transfer to Spanish club Girona in a deal reportedly worth £6.8 million. This transfer is expected to break Aberdeen's previous club-record fee, surpassing the £6.5 million received from Liverpool for Calvin Ramsay.
The 25-year-old North Macedonia international joined Aberdeen in 2022 from MTK Budapest for approximately £600,000. Over the years, Miovski has become a key figure for the Dons, and his performances have drawn attention from several European clubs. Girona, currently competing in the Champions League, emerged as the frontrunner, with Miovski expressing a strong desire to join the Spanish side.
During Aberdeen's recent 3-1 victory over St Mirren, Miovski made an emotional appearance as a late substitute. After the match, he was seen taking a tearful lap of honor around Pittodrie, seemingly bidding farewell to the fans.
Aberdeen, under the guidance of new manager Jimmy Thelin, has enjoyed a strong start to the season, winning all six of their opening games. While Miovski’s departure will be a significant loss, the record transfer fee will provide the club with substantial resources as they continue to build under Thelin's leadership.
