Patson Daka, Mwiya Malumo and Fashion Sakala all hit the back of the net for their clubs at the weekend and in the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho South African-born footballer of Zambian descent Mike Lota completed his move

Zambia’s most capped player Kennedy Mweene was an unused substitute for the Mamelodi Sundowns side that kicked off their 2020/2021 DSTV Premiership campaign with an impressive 3-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs. On the opposite end former ZESCO United striker Lazarous Kambole was not included in the Kaizer Chiefs match day squad.
Zambian striker Augustine Mulenga is still awaiting clearance from Home Affairs* [work permit] and as thus he was not included in the match day squad for the Amazulu side that drew 1-1 with his former employers Orlando Pirates. Club/Country-mate Davies Phiri was on the technical bench for Amazulu were he serves as goalkeeper coach and on the opposite end Austin Muwowo was not included in the Pirates match day squad.
Former ZANACO winger Charles Zulu came on off the bench in the 60th minute to make his debut for the Cape Town City side that was held to a 1-1 home draw by Chippa United.
The battle of the newbies saw both TTM and TS Galaxy playing out to a 1-1 draw. Zambian striker Justin Shonga was excused from the team earlier during the week to sort out some family issues in Zambia and as a result he was not included in their weekend match day squad. Over on the opposite end, former ZANACO striker Chitiya Mususu could not make his Galaxy debut as he is still awaiting paperwork from Home Affairs*.
Maritzburg United suffered a 2-1 defeat on the opening day of the DSTV Premiership season. Zambian goalkeeper Sebastian Mwange was not included in the Maritzburg United match day squad as he is awaiting his work permit.
The SuperSport United side eased to 2-0 win in their season opener against Black Leopards. Zambian striker Gamphani Lungu put in a full 90 minutes shift for SuperSport. On the opposite end former Ajax Cape Town winger Rodrick Kabwe was not included in the match day squad as he is one of a number of Zambian players still awaiting clearance from Home Affairs*. Zambian goalkeeper coach Sam “Zenga” Banda who is goalkeeper coach at Leopards was on their technical bench.
AUSTRIA 🇦🇹
CAF 2017 YAFOTY Patson Daka scored the second goal of the match deep into stoppage time for the Red Bull Salzburg side that posted a 2-0 win in their Tipico Bundesliga encounter awy at Austria Wien. Club/country-mate Enock Mwepu also featured for Salzburg. Worth noting that both Daka and Mwepu came on as second half substitutes.

Elsewhere in the Tipico Bundesliga, Kafue Celtic product Francisco Mwepu came on off the bench in the 86th minute to make his Tipico Bundesliga debut for the SK Sturm Graz side in their 2-0 win away at SV Guntamatic Reid.

Fashion Sakala scored and added a cheery on top in the form of an assist for the KV Oostende side that posted a convincing 3-0 home win in their Jupiler Pro League encounter against Zulte Waregem.
