A year flew by and the Submariner survived :)
A true grail I saved up to and waited 18 months to get from my AD, it ended up being my most worn watch during the last year. The Submariner Date 126610 fixed everything I disliked on the previous 116610 which made it a Perfect submariner for ME, as if Rolex listened to everything I disliked about the 116 and fixed it on the 126!!
It has met all my expectations and accuracy wise, it has exceeded them. It becomes clear why it is so popular and timeless. It works in every situation and is one of those watches where you don't have to comptomise, as everything it does, it does well.
Since I got it the same year, only a few months apart from my son being born, it has been reserved as the watch he will inherit from me, so I'm just keeping it safe for him, while at the same time enjoying it to the fullest.
There will be no flipping nor selling this one, that's for sure!!
