Rishi Sunak has welcomed the “broad support” in Wednesday’s House of Commons vote for his new deal with Brussels on post-Brexit trading arrangements for Northern Ireland.
MPs backed regulations to implement a key element of the Windsor Framework by 515 to 29 with just 22 Tory rebels voting against it.
The Prime Minister also addressed publishing his tax returns, saying that it was “in the interest of transparency”. Mr Sunak paid an effective tax rate of 22pc due to the advantages of Capital Gains Tax.
