This is a Mangalorean speciality. Neer means water in Tulu or Kannada, the dosa gets its name from the watery consistency of the batter. It also called baji ari dose in Tulu, meaning only rice is used. You just need 3 ingredients for the dosa - Rice, water and salt. You can add a bit of coconut, but that's optional. These dosa are traditionally eaten with kukku(mango) Rasayana but they do taste yummy with, freshly grated cocunut and jaggery or coconut chutney or even chicken curry.
