When I first started playing pickleball I couldn’t wrap my brain around the dink shot, how to use it, why to use it, and do I even need it?! 😂
Well guess what you need it. But letting it get too high is dangerous and missing in the net is straight up annoying 😆
So how can you improve this thing they call the dink shot? No guarantees if you don’t practice it now,okay. Okay good.
But the tips below improved mine tremendously. So get to it.
And don’t forget to share it with your partner 😛 who keeps setting you up to get destroyed. lol jk we all do it! But share anyways. You can only get better.
Quick & Easy Fix for the Dink Shot:
1️⃣ Keep the ball out in front of you as much as possible. Extend your arm & elbow away from the body a bit. Don’t get jammed up.
2️⃣ Move you feet so that you make contact with the ball inside shoulder width. This is huge. Your control will improve a ton!
3️⃣ Soft hands. You need the feel. By gripping the paddle too hard you can’t find that touch because you’re body is too tense.
