This did not work how I originally thought it would but honestly I think I prefer the way it actually is! It is somewhat annoying to have to bring the pieces in individually but this is what you would have to do before anyways.
This feature is not so much adding "construction animation" as it is making an interface that makes it easily easy to create them. This tutorial is aimed at artists who have never done this for any of their scenes!
