Scientists at Washington State University, along with mycologist and entrepreneur Paul Stamets, have found that certain types of mycelium—the underground root system of mushrooms—can be beneficial to the health of honeybees. They've now invented the Bee Mushroomed Feeder, a device that provides bees with mycelium extract. Their plans will be open-sourced so anyone can build a similar feeder.
